Das hat mit bulletdrop gar nix zu tun. Die Hitbox ist buggy, ist sogar leicht erklärt. Der echte Ping ist der, den der Serverbrowser anzeigt. Dice nimmt aber die Latenzen, die ingame angezeigt werden als Ping, was natürlich nicht stimmt. Und damit behebt man diese schlechte programmierung ganz einfach.
Nur klappt es? Ich war eben jedenfalls schlechter als normal, kann natürlich an meiner extremen Müdigkeit liegen.
Werd das morgen nochmal testen und dann entscheiden, ob ich es bis zum erscheinen des Patches, der das hoffentlich behebt, drin lasse.

Alright after much testing I realized that there was a huge improvement when shooting enemies at long range, and most importantly at medium range.
However the pump shotgun without slugs or even with slugs will still fail as much as it used to at close range...
So in etwa kam es mir auch vor, die Spas12 traf auf hohe Entfernungen präzise, was im Nahkampf aber noch immer Schrott. Typisch SC-Server halt^^
Edit2: Noch ein paar Kommentare zum fix: This is an old fix for BF games, it will only work if you have a fast connect so if you normally get 150-300+ latency your not going to notice much of a difference.
It helped a lot for me at medium to long range.
However at close range I didnt notice any effect, I still get loads of blood effects with no hit detection when I use my Pump Shotguns without slugs.

Here is the info that I know about this "fix" and some personal experiences.
Talking with a pretty tech savvy team, I found out that they used the fix and said that it helped quite a bit. However....they told me that a patch knocked it out and caused the lines to stop working. That was a couple of patches back. It would be nice to hear from Dice to see what was going on with that. Perhaps at first it was working and then Dice took the entire lag compensation feature out and the UK people weren't able to find anything by time they investigated. Who knows though without official word from Dice.
My experience...hit detection is different depending on what server you are on. That would be my best guess as to why some people are swearing on their mother's graves that it is working. I think they are just getting on the right servers. I have been finding that it is impossible to hit people on some servers where others are perfect.
I was on a server a few nights ago and the ping came up as being low. In the game, I was putting head shots on people with 100% certainty and it wasn't scoring any damage what so ever. I would unload clips into guys and would see in the kill cam that they had 100% health after they turn around and blast me. One of my team mates was in there with me and was experiencing the same thing.
In one case I shot to the left of a guy and scored a head shot. It wasn't a long distance bullet travel thing either, the guy was pretty close. After we switched servers, the hit detection was completely normal.
