Wieso sollte Mantle eingebaut werden, wenn es von AMD nicht mehr entwickelt/unterstützt wird?

Es heißt zwar:
The company also said it would continue to support any Mantle partners with its full resources.
Aber sofern DX12 wirklich entsprechend performant ist, gibt es nur einen einzigen Grund für den Mantle Support:
User, die nicht auf Windows 10 umsteigen wollen bzw. Linux/MAC OS User.

Sagt mal, hat sich beim letzten Sale eigentlich noch jemand die Dogtags mit Gravur geholt? Hab mir die da 1x gekauft, aber ich hab bis heute nichts mehr davon gehört. Das dauert irgendwie länger als mein T-Shirt brauchte :huh:
 
Interessante Neuigkeiten aus "Reverse the Verse", Episode 37
Habe mal die (in meinen Augen) wichtigsten Infos zusammengefasst:

Ships

  • Cutlass is being reworked 'entirely'
  • Cutlass is being revamped in UK but is not close to ready yet
  • Cutlass designed to be worse dogfighter than the Hornet, but better than the Aurora or 300i. Has the big advantage of being able to board and haul
  • Gladius flyable and Retaliator in hangar for V1.1

  • Drake Herald is not in production currently
  • Vanguard will be the next concept ship. Looking great
  • Redeemer is at Illfonic to refine its FPS capabilities
  • Starfarer in progress (needed for SQ42)
  • 890 JUMP not in progress currently
  • Constellation rework underway in Santa Monica
  • Any news on the Caterpillar? No.
  • MISC Endeavour is in concept.
  • Ben will start sitting down with Travis once a month and creating a document that shows where each ship is in its production schedule.

Arena Commander 1.1


  • 1.1 contains REC and there is a lot of stage setting for FPS and Social Module
  • Multiplayer free-flight is close but not in 1.1
  • Sim Pod probably in 1.1
  • New character animations with V1.1. One of the reasons V1.1 is "coming in hot".

FPS-/Social Module

  • Access to FPS: Alpha backers have access. Those without Alpha will require $5 FPS pass. New packages will go up in price $5 and include FPS
  • Planetside/Social module is the first expansion of the real Star Citizen universe (not a simulation).
  • Planetside/social module will be similar to AC when it launched... 'just the bare bones to begin with, then we'll add meat and organs'.
  • Room system will be utilized more with the social module
  • Character customization in social module. Doesn't sound like it will necessarily be with the initial launch.

General

  • Working on a new holotable
  • Major revision of gimbaled weapons upcoming. CIG devs working on balance feel that there is no downside to gimbals right now. This will be changing such that fixed weapons have advantages too
  • Changes to gimbals MIGHT be in the design post tomorrow on weapon changes
  • New damage states for AC ships: Slowly more and more ships will be given the new damage state system
  • Reaching the point in Star Citizen development where ships will no longer be the big milestones, releases will be
  • Org 2.0 delayed due to Turbulent being insanely busy
  • AC 2.0 will contain many multicrew ships

  • Idea is that Terra and Earth are in conflict, both wanting to be "Earth" as in the centre of the UEE. Therefore, the name fits and will not change
  • Voyager Direct melting is the subject of a current debate internally

Ich muss tatsächlich nochmal 5$ spenden, da ich nur Beta Access habe. Schon irgendwie traurig, bei einem 140€ Package keinen Alpha Access zu haben.. :ugly:

Das ist aber schon seit dem ersten AC so, das ist nichts Neues.
Bei meinem Phoenix-Paket ist auch kein AC dabei gewesen, bei der Mustang AMD-Edition aber schon :ugly:
Im Vergleich zu früher ist der AC mittlerweile aber schon in ein paar Paketen enthalten.

Wo hier genau der Sinn liegt hab ich auch noch nicht verstanden.
Vielleicht eine beschleunigte Entwicklung durch extra Kohle wenn viele auf den Alpha-Zug aufspringen?
 
Bei dem kleinsten Aurora und Mustang-Paket war der AC schon immer dabei.
Bei den größeren Schiffs-/Spiel-Paketen fast nie.
Das hat nichts mit zeitlich begrenzten Aktionen zu tun.

Das PTU für den AC 1.1 ist online. Ich poste das Changelog sobald ich es gefunden habe :ugly:

Es scheint noch größere Probleme mit dem Download zu geben. Bei aktiviertem P2P-Download kommt der Fehler "Peer List Empty" und nach dem umstellen auf HTTP der Fehler "Download Stalled", also müssen wir uns noch etwas gedulden :(

**Comstab is less aggressive in how quickly it decelerates the ship which will lead to some drift
**Scoreboard is now bound to the tab key
**Freelook is now bound right ctrl+tab
**Crouch is now bound to ctrl
**G-safe now limits based on ship velocities rather than set points

Ships
**Updated lighting system for 300 series
**Aurora headlights system updated to use multiple light sources

**Replaced Mass Driver Cannon fire sound with something more appropriate for a 60mm Ballistic (was laser)
**Weapon mounts have been adjusted so that gimbaled mounts now hold weapons that are one size smaller than the mount. Fixed mounts still hold weapon sizes equal to the mount

**Removed Arena Commander UI from all ship cockpits (available through Simpod and escape menu)
**G-safe light deactivates when boost is held down

**Missiles do not despawn after they explode which causes the missile evaded message to be displayed even if the missile hits
**Ships are not able to take off if a pilot reenters a seat after they land using automatic approach
**Landing ships in Multiplayer Free Flight can cause network divergence issues
**Some ships are not able to be exited or entered after landing them in Free Flight
**Using HOMAS or TrackIR whilst using Target Focus causes the players head to shake and move uncontrollably
**Opening the holotable multiple times can cause the game to crash
**ESP is being overly aggressive

Ships
**All ships aside from the Hornet are missing ship trails when carrying a Core
**350r mass is off center and causes the ship to be difficult to control
**Aurora intakes aren't displaying paint
**Aurora are not showing lateral G-force animations for the character
**Some parts of the nose section for the Avenger are not taking damage
**Entering the back seat of the Gladiator plays the animation for entering the front seat.
**Gladius damage system isn't working correctly for parts of the ship that fall off
**Gladius loses its armor textures when hit with a few missiles
**Mustang mass is off center and causes the ship to be difficult to control
**Mustangs are using the wrong maneuvering thrusters
**M50 g-force animations are negatively affecting control of the ship

**Missiles aren't inheriting velocity from the ship that launches them
**Seal Corporation damage effect displays incorrectly when equipped on an Aurora
**Seal Corporation shield generators will not be visible when equipped to Hornets

User Interface
**Lag pips will drop out with increased distance depending on how quickly a ship is approaching their target (only happens within a few hundred meters)
**Shield hardpoint in the holotable is too small for Mustangs and 300 series
**Shield component on the Aurora ship status HUD is too large
**Ship status HUD for Gladius will display damage incorrectly
**Missiles have a small portion of the ship targeting UI on them after being launched
**Multiple in game items and ships are missing text and are displaying their internal names
**Paint objects in the holotable are placeholders
**Loading back into a lobby will reset the ship selection to its default (sometimes this doesn’t happen visually but still happens on the backend)
**Power throttle doesn't work

**There are several locations in the hangars where the character can fall out of the world

Hab auch schon gesehen das der Download ~31 GB groß ist, würde bei mir 23,25 Stunden dauern zum laden... :lol::nene:

Hoffe mal das AC1.1 für alle da ist, nur ca. 20Gb hat..
 
Bei integriertem FPS-Part dürfte der nochmal größer werden :ugly:
Wir können offensichtlich, da das PTU online ist, in der nächsten Woche mit dem finalen Patch 1.1 rechnen. Hoffentlich schon mit dem FPS-Modul ;)

Nochmal ein paar kleine Infos die ich über das FPS-Modul im RSI-Forum von den Developern aufgeschnappt habe:
- Erste Map soll eine verlassene Minenkolonie sein
- Es soll einen Modus ähnlich wie "Grenzlandverteidigung" in Titanfall geben, also Spieler verteidigen sich im Koop gegen KI-Wellen im Stil von Vanduul-Swarm

Kann man sich den Alpha Access irgendwie dazu kaufen oder muss man das über ein anderes Schiff-Package machen?
Ich meine mich übrigens dunkel daran entsinnen zu können, dass Alpha-Access in meinem F7C-M-Package dabei gewesen sein müsste... Nur wo ist es hin? Haben sie's mir wieder weggenommen? :(

Nach erneutem herunterladen des gesamten Clienten und des aktivieren des PTus komme ich zu dem Schluss, dass das PTU im Moment noch nicht lauffähig ist :-(
Sobald man im Launcher zum PTU wechselt und sich mit dem zugesandten Kennwort anmeldet und das Spiel startet, wartet auf dem Ladebildschirm die Fehlermeldung "Login failed" und das Spiel wird beendet.
Außerdem verschwindet im Launcher nach dem anmelden im PTU, die Kennzeichung "PTU" in der oberen, linken Ecke des Launchers, was bei bisherigen PTUs nicht der Fall war.

Wir werden uns also noch etwas länger gedulden müssen um in den Genuss der neuen Fixes und Features zu kommen.

In dem Sinne
Guten Flug AC-Piloten sobald wir die Flugfreigabe erhalten :)

Die Meldung, die du verlinkt hast, ist vor knapp 2 h online gegangen, also war sie zu dem Zeitpunkt, wo ich nachgeschaut habe, noch nicht online, aber danke für's finden :daumen:

Wenn das PTU jetzt schon raus ist und es, wie gewohnt, nur ein Wochenende (2-3 Tage) läuft, dürfte der finale Patch ja nicht mehr lange auf sich warten lassen, also so gegen Ende nächster Woche dürfte es soweit sein ;)
Hoffentlich ist der FPS-Part dann schon dabei :D
