Hallo Falter,

ich habe momentan ein kleines Problem bei der Einrichtung von F@H @ Multi-GPU. Vielleicht hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem gehabt und eine Lösung parat.

Bis vor kurzem (eigentlich bis gestern ) lief in meinem Rechner ein 88er GT Gespann auf einem XFX 680i LT SLI Board und bei deaktiviertem SLI falteten auch beide Grakas wie verrückt.

Seit gestern werkelt als Unterbau ein EVGA 680iSLI Board und eigentlich sollen darauf eine GTX260 und eine 88er GT falten ( wenn der Wasserkühler für die GTX da ist, soll es noch eine 88erGT mehr werden).

Leider kann ich machen was ich will, die 88er läßt sich nicht zum falten bewegen (How to hab ich schon mehrmals durchgeackert). Wenn ich alles so einrichte , wie vorher bei den beiden GT's, dann faltet trotzdem nur die GTX oder ich bekomme ne Fehlermeldung, das für die GT kein geeigneter Treiber installiert ist. Treiber ist der 180.48.

Bin für jede Idee dankbar.

Ich geh mal von aus, dass du VISTA hast - da lässt sich nämlich nur eine "Sorte" GraKa befeuern
Darum gingen 2 88er GT ohne Probleme
Unter XP ginge 260er und 88erGt - aber eben..

Korrigier mich wenn du nicht VISTA befeuerst
 
dann weisst du ja das es mit dem Dummy kram alles geht..ich glaube nicht das es am Vista liegt, weil ich schon mit einer 3870 und einer 4870 zusammen gefaltet habe...vielleicht gibt es eine Flag ähnlich wie bei ATI..wo man die GPU "zwingen" kann eine andere zu sein..
 
Jo , is es aber nicht so, das 3870 und 4870 auf dem selben Chip basieren und die 88GT und die 260er nicht ? Kann daran liegen ?

Ich werd es mal mit den flags probieren.

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

sind in beiden Fällen unterschiedliche Chips.
Außerdem ist das völlig egal.
Vista akzeptiert nur einen Treiber für die Grafikkarten.
Wenn der die Karten/Chips unterstützt ist alles ok.

1.)
unbedingt Flags setzen (-local -GPU 0 bzw -local -GPU 1).
kann man auch in der client.cfg machen
....=normalextra_parms=-local -gpu 0local=....
oder beim Tray Clint in der Parameter Zeile in den Optionen.
Außerdem müssen beide Clients unterschiedliche Machine IDs verwenden.

2.)
Jede Grafikkarte braucht einen Monitor oder Dummy Plug
(suche benutzen oder in den Thread, in meiner Sig, schauen)

3.)
Prüfen ob der Treiber richtig installiert ist.
GPU-Z muss für beide Karten vollständige Angaben ausgeben (SHadertakt darf z.B. nicht fehlen)

4.)
Mit etwas Pech bringt die 8800GT nur die halbe Leistung.
Häufiges Problem beim Falten mit 2 unterschiedlichen nVidia Karten (Treiberproblem von NV).

Nein es funktioniert leider nicht. Hab auch im F@H-Forum gelesen, das einige Falter mit den gleichen Schwierigkeiten kämpfen. Ich lass es erstmal und warte bis genug Geld für ne zweite GTX da ist. In der Zwischenzeit wird der Zweitrechner um eine 88GT erweitert.

Gib doch nicht so schnell auf^^

Am Anfang müssen die Flags stehen, sonst sind sie nicht richtig gesetzt.

Beim Tray Client in der Addition Parameter Zeile rein kopieren.
Beim Command-Line, eine Verknüpfung erstellen und -config in der Ziel-Zeile anhängen.
Starten, bei change advanced options yes eingeben und bei additional parameters die beiden eintippen.
(klingt komplizierter als es ist)

Das andere hast gemacht?
Also vorallem unterschiedliche Machine ID's und geprüft ob beide Karte im GPU-Z richtig erkannt werden?
 
So ich hab alles so gemacht, aber es lief nicht. Is jetzt aber auch hinfällig, weil mir gestern gerade eine 88er abgeraucht ist :ugly:. Die hat wohl den Rückbau von Wakü auf Lukü nicht so richtig vertragen, jedenfalls hab ich jetzt schöne rosa Bilder.

Wie groß ist eigentlich der Unterschied beim Falten zwischen einem PCIex-16-Slot und einem PCIex-8-Slot ?
