AW: [Extreme User-Guide] Shadertakt bei G8x GPUs einstellen (8800GTX, 8800GTS, ...)
Ok, hier aktuelle Zitate von unwinder:
"Alpha 3 is ready and sent to testers. Now Im more than satisfied with shader clock adjustment UI, most likely this one will become the final one. Changes list includes:
- Polished appearance, redesigned icons of core clock domains related sliders, swapped placeholders for shader / memory clock sliders.
- Added Link clocks option (enabled by default) to overclocking module UI. Now ShaderClockRatio setting is equal to -1 by default (i.e. when it is not defined in the registry) but the sliders are linked (with ratio defined by ShaderClockRatio) only when Link clocks is ticked. So now user can easily tick this option, increase both clocks synchronically (using default or custom ratio) then untick it and continue adjusting clocks asynchronically. With such approach ShaderClockRatio is probably not needed at all.
- Fixed problem with memory clock reset protection wizard giving a warning message and failing to eliminate memory clock reset threat in the previous alpha."
und (um 2:13 Ortszeit):
"Anybody see _any_ reason in keeping ShaderClockRatio in PowerUser settings? I suppose that it can be easily removed and ticking "Link clocks" should always use default ratio. And the rest can be acheived simply by unticking "Link clocks" and increasing domain clocks as needed."
und (um 4:50 Ortszeit):
"Yep, I'm gonna remove it completely."
und gleichzeitig zum release candidate:
"It cannot be called RC on this stage. Alpha is a standard name of the build which is still in development stage and which is being modified right during testing process.
On beta testing stage new feature development is completely frozen (to avoid introducing new bugs in tested features) and we do nothing but hunt bugs for 1-2 weeks.
Then the build is released to public."
Alles klar?
