NV-UV v0.99 released (Build 22 Cantor)

The community update: UV⚡Try learns community ratings and accepts your own settings, NV-UV notifies you about new versions, and a round of fixes based on tester reports.

New features
  • Community ratings: A star click in UV⚡Try stores your personal note locally and counts as an anonymous community vote at the same time. The new Community column shows the average of all votes with the vote count, updated twice a day.
  • Share your settings: Right-click a filled profile slot to submit its UV values to the community database. Submissions go through a short review and then appear for everyone, labeled user-submitted.
  • Update notifier: NV-UV now shows an in-app hint when a new version has been released. The check is a pure read-only download from GitHub, nothing is transmitted.
  • Memory footprint: When minimized to the tray, NV-UV hands its working set back to Windows and shows up noticeably lighter in Task Manager.
  • Game Replay: The frequency step now goes down to 15 MHz, matching the hardware-native V/F granularity.
  • Recalibrate: Right-click on the Recalibrate button opens the folder with the automatic Afterburner profile backups.

Under the hood
  • .NET 10: All projects migrated to the current runtime.
  • GameDatabase v2.12: 640 games.

Fixes
  • UV-Pilot: A fast game exit and restart could skip the slot backup and later reset the anchor slot to stock. Fixed, plus a safety net: the active anchor slot never silently falls back to stock anymore.
  • Recalibrate: Custom Afterburner install locations (for example Winget installs) could get lost during the Recalibrate restart. The detected path is now persisted and Winget locations are scanned.
  • Game detection: Crash reporter helper processes (BugSplat, Unreal, Unity, Windows Error Reporting) are no longer mistaken for games.

Docs
  • Russian Tester Guide: A community-contributed full translation now ships with every build, next to the German and English guides.
  • Privacy: New section in all three guides plus a PRIVACY.md in the docs repo describing exactly what the community features transmit and what never leaves your machine.

This is the last Cantor release apart from hotfixes. The next version will be v1.00 "Kaluza" with a few surprises.

GPU: RTX 4060, 8 GB of video memory.
Graphics card manufacturer and model: RTX 4060 Palit Dual OC
NV-UV version: Package v0.99.1, MSI Afterburner 4.6.6-4.6.7 (beta)
Windows: Windows 11 24H2
Driver version: [610.74, after version dated July 13, 2026]

What's wrong:
NV-UV does not provide stable voltage regulation,
This is a problem with the UV-Pilot functionality. It works based on the game. For example, in the following tested games, changing the frequency and voltage works properly.:
Resident Evil 2 Remake - custom preset
The isle - added manually, custom preset
Kingdom Come Delivery - custom preset

But it was difficult to change the voltage and frequency in this game:
Scum: when trying to set a custom preset in this game, everything was unsuccessful, I tried to set the voltage and frequency directly, it didn't work, custom presets didn't work, the only way it helped was the preset preset, in my case "Perfomance"
Luma Island — in this game NV-UV stops working at all, no parameters are applied, neither ready-made presets, nor custom presets, nor directly set values - all this does not work, although in Msi Afterburner in voltage curve, the settings are applied,

Used settings:

Presets, custom presets, all settings

Mistake:
Always

Today I tested Nvidia Undervolting for the first time on an Asus TUF RTX 4080. The card is water-cooled. I can't get the Voltage Step Scanner to go higher than 2970 MHz. The log shows the following messages:

14:20:40.482 INFO Lock detected (ADA plateau, largest of 2): 2685 MHz @ 920 mV (50 points; discarded: 1965 MHz x 3)

14:20:40.483 INFO Lock detected (ADA plateau, largest of 2): 2880 MHz @ 1000 mV (37 points; discarded: 1905 MHz x 3)

14:20:40.483 INFO Lock detected (ADA plateau): 2970 MHz @ 1035 mV

Hey @moodak thanks for the log, Two different things going on.

Your card had driver crashes with SCUM (July 7 and 11, GPU page fault at 2790 MHz @ 930 mV). Game Replay learned from that and silently capped everything you set for SCUM to 2302 MHz. That's why no custom preset or direct value seemed to apply. "Performance" only worked because it happened to sit right at that limit.

To reset: close NV-UV, go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\NV-UV, delete nv-uv_game_replay_adjustments.json and stock_curve_VEN_10DE_DEV_2882_SUBSYS_F3111569.dat (both get rebuilt), start again.

The next version gets a "Replay Adjustments" tab in the game database where you can see and reset these limits yourself. Your report triggered that feature, thanks!

Luma Island: need your help.
The log shows the game process dying 15 to 25 seconds after every start.

The UV profile applies fine, the game just never survives.

Questions:
1. Does it crash to desktop?
2. Anything in Windows Event Viewer > Application around July 13, 22:28 to 23:54?
3. Does it run fine with UV-Pilot/NV-UV disabled?

And one more: your log folder says v098-HF1. Please check Help/About for your exact version and update to the latest release if needed.

Hey, thanks for testing! The three lines you posted are just slot status reads, not the scanner run itself, so I can't tell from those why it stopped. Please use the Log Export button in NV-UV and upload the log covering your scanner session.

@cubi2k82, Thanks for replying! Your recommendation with deletion nv-uv_game_replay_adjustments.json and stock_curve_VEN_10DE_DEV_2882_SUBSYS_F3111569.dat - works! now i can set custom presets to Scum game!
What about Luma:
1. No, game doen't crash at all, all looking nice, i can to play it, but my voltage doesn't applying and resets to 1050v or 1060v
2. In Windows Viewer > Application i only had several warns at July 13 21:44:
(1) Процедура открытия для службы "WmiApRpl" в библиотеке DLL "C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" не удалась с кодом ошибки Указанная служба не может быть запущена, так как отключена либо она сама, либо все связанные с ней устройства.. Данные о производительности для этой службы не будут доступны.
(2) Получение AIA в svchost.exe Service: <CryptSvc> Caller:

3. Yes, this games starts fine in any case, but voltage ajusments works and applyes only without NV-UV, Msi afterburner works
