Wo soll man in GT 6 den Tesselation verwenden? Gt5 war schon extreme an der Grenze des Hardware machbaren. Neue Engine, von was träumst du Nachts? Die Jungs habe 5 Jahre für das bescheidene GT5 gebraucht, die werden bestimmt nicht in 1-2 Jahren eine komplett neue Engine verwenden, die alte soweit anpassen, aber komplett neu nie und nimmer.
Das mit 1080i auf der ps2 ist echt interessant, aber die PS2 hatte wenigstens einen custom Cpu+Gpu.
Ich nehme mal an die Antwort war auf mich ausgerichtet. Ich kann nur das wiedergeben was auf der Pressekonferenz gesagt und gezeigt wurde. Du kannst dir ja selbst ein Bild machen und mir dann sagen wo ich falsch liege:

Wird anscheinend verwendet um Ram zu sparen und nicht verschiedene Modelle wie bei normalem LOD im Speicher zu haben, läuft anscheinend auf SPUs.
