Asrock hat diese Woche ein neues Beta-UEFI für Mainboards mit X870(E)-Chipsatz veröffentlicht, das gegen Boot-Fehler mit manchen Ryzen-CPUs helfen soll. Gleichzeitig wird die Speicherkompatibilität verbessert.

Wer einen solchen Prozessor auf einem Asrock-Mainboard nutzt und entsprechende Probleme hat, sollte sich also an ein UEFI-Update machen.

Ich hatte die Probleme zwar nicht, aber ich teste die neue UEFI Version 4.07.AS01 auf dem Nova mal aus:

Leider liefert das Unternehmen keine weiteren Details zu dem behobenen Problem. Wie sich der Boot-Fehler geäußert hat, und welche Prozessoren betroffen waren, ist damit nicht bekannt.

Finde das eher peinlich, das die sich in Schweigen halten und nicht mal wissen wie sich die Fehler äußern.
So ein Image Schaden kann kein Hersteller gebrauchen, aber die Bastelei mit Beta Updates ist auch nur ein Flickenteppich...

Ich sitze mit meinem Brett auf 1.2.0.3d und es läuft absolut stabil... solange nicht ein kritisches Sicherheitsloch gestopft werden muss: Never change a running system!

"um Probleme beim Systemstart zu beheben, darunter Fälle, in denen Systeme nach einer gewissen Nutzungsdauer nicht mehr starten".

Klingt für mich so, als werden Komponenten zu heiß, so dass diese den Bootvorgang nach längerer Betriebsdauer quittieren. Mit dem neuen Bios Update werden wohl einige Chargen von betroffenen Mainboards qasi gedrosselt. Damit werden infrage kommende Komponenten stabil gehalten. An der CPU liegt das jedenfalls nicht, wie man anfangs hingewiesen hat.
Aber gut das man betroffende Mainboards damit retten kann.
