Die Frage ist nur wann. Das kann unter Umständen Monate dauern. Für Enthusiasten sind die 1080er EKWBs sowieso unbrauchbar, einfacher Grund:
"New NVIDIA® SLI HB bridges are not compatible with this water block."

Das stimmt nur teilweise. Ich habe vorher eine Mail an EKWB geschrieben (aus dem einfachen Grund, dass ich zwei GTX 1080 wasserkühlen will) und gefragt, warum genau die neuen HB SLI Brücken inkompatibel sind. Ich bekam folgende Antwort:

I'm really sorry, but sadly we won't have any new water blocks for the founders edition 1080 cards that would be compatible with the HB SLI BRIDGE.
It is not compatible because of it's (Bridges) new design with those "arrows" sticking out. Blocks are compatible with a normal sli bridge though.
It is not compatible because of the highlighted part on the bridge.

Also, because of this, we will be making our own sli bridge to make it compatible with the SLI setup.
However, we don't have any ETAs for it yet.

Das bedeutet also, dass die Inkompatibilität nur am Design der HB SLI Brücken von Nvidia liegt. Brücken von Partnern wie EVGA müssten daher kompatibel sein:

Notfalls kann man noch die alten SLI Brücken benutzen; die sollen ja auch funktionieren - nur etwas langsamer.

Wenns wirklich nur an den Spitzen liegt... so lange da keine Elektronik drin ist und die Dinger wie ich vermute nur aus Designgründen da sind kann man die Ecken auch einfach abfeilen
