Radeon-PhysX Was geht hier vor sich?

Viele Besitzer von Radeonkarten warten und träumen schon seit Monaten davon, dass Regeneration von NGOHQ.com endlich sein PHYSX-Radeonprogramm released. auch der Tread http://extreme.pcgameshardware.de/pcghx-news/19509-physx-amd-radeon-es-geht-zuegig-voran.html
hier in unserem Forum befasste sich schon mit dem Thema.

Nun hat sich nach einiger Zeit etwas getan, wenngleich man derzeit noch nicht sagen kann, in welche Richtung das Projekt nun gehen wird.

Am 15. Sept eröffnete Regeneration nahc langer Verschwiegenheit über das PhysX Projekt einen neuen Tread, in welchem er BETATESTER suchte:

Einige Posts weiter unten wird gefragt, warum nur Quads als Betatester erwünscht sind, das Statement von Regeneration macht mich stutzig:

1. Nvidia is using PhysX to promote their GeForce brand.
2. AMD thinks like me.
3. You should ask Nvidia that last question [That would be answer #1 too].

AMD can't do anything about it. I don't even care about them, they are not supporting me or this site in anyway. They even refused to provide basic level of developer documentations. All they gave us are bunch of lies, while they are massively promoting our competitors on daily basis. In layman’s terms, AMD is providing ammunition to our competitors. So... I don't like them.

Oha, ... hat für mich Ähnlichkeiten mit DX10 für Win XP. Schade eigentlich, aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass AMD sich so idiotisch taub stellt, wenn sie nicht etwas in peto haben. Naja mal abwarten, noch ist Physik auf meiner CPU völlig ausreichend ausführbar.

PhysX ist Propriätär, ergo schlecht.

Wenns offen wäre oder mehrere Hersteller an einem strang ziehen würden, würds auch eher vorwärts gehen...

Treiber gibt es ja schon zum Downladen , muß mal testen ob sie gehen !
Die meisten Treiber sind aber für nvida unter alle OS
aber nur XP und 2000 Treiber für ATI !
