PC stürzt ab unter 3D

System:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
be quiet! Dark Pro 1200W (new) tried it also with my old one 850W
Pentium i7 920 (no OC yet)
CPU Cooler NH-U12P SE1366
3x 2gb OZC platinum low voltage DDR3 1800 mhz
ASUS Extreme II Rampage MB + Soundcard
ASUS GeForce 295 GTX
400 GB Samsung 7200 u/min
+ 2 case fans
=================================

Good day together,

i have following problem:
After installing my new grafic card (the old one was a MSI GeForce 8800GTX) i tried to play my games as usual.
The problem is that the system crashes within a few minutes without giving any error message (no bluescreen, no mainboard "beep"). If i want to restart my PC nothing start, only my fans will run for 2 seconds. But if i switch the cables from my grafic card off/on it start again. Somitems it also works when I am ressetting the BIOS (i have the latest version)
The system is absolutely stabel in 2D mode.

Okay then I reinstalled my old grafic card again (it works without any problem before) but same problem. I changed the cables. No other result.
All voltages seems to be okay.

CPU temperature: Idle = 34-39°C / 56-62°C under Prime 95
GPU temperature: Idle = 52°C / FurMark after 10 mins stress test (sometimes it crashes before) = 85°C
ALl other temps seems to be normal.
Any ideas? I though it could be a problem with the PCI-e slot. Maybe it has been damaged.
But iam wondering that everything runs great for a some minutes before crashing. I also thought it could be a problem with the new grafic card (bad cable connection or s.th. like that) but as I told before I have the same problems now with my olf grafic card.

Pls pls pls i need your help, I am out of ideas.

Thanks + regards

If you've an other PC at home try youre new graphic card in it. Maybe youre Motherboard or the PCI-e Port is damaged ;) If this won't work hm... i don't know ^^

Press win + pause, go to the Advanced System Panel, there you'll find three settings button, try the lower one (something like start and restore or so) there you'll find a checkbox named "automatic reboot", there shouldn't be a checkmark.

Have you tried all PCIe connectors from your PSU?
Does your old grapchics card work?
