The seethrough ssd-case is kind of interesting but i think it would look even better if you have both ssds in such a acrylic case side-by-side.

To both of you; the casing is being remade atm. I have different plans for it. It will be remade from thicker plexi. The top will get a vinyl sticker on it. Like the stock samsung top but without the letters and corner. Then I will add 2 leds (orange or white) and away we go. One next gen Samsung SSD. I want the stock one to be next to it. To show the difference.

It will also depend on the cpu a lot. If this one might not clock high enough I might go and look for a golden one. Might cost me a bit, but I would like to score some high speeds with this mobo.

I have to say that with their new look of black PCB mobos (leaving the odd greeny blue behind) their mobos have been very solid in terms of looks for me.

My Sammy 1.35v 4*4 GB kit. This mobo will eat them for breakfast. Aiming for 2400mhz with them @ 1.65v. I will be fitting a XSPC RAM waterblock on them when I also receive my XSPC heatsinks to fit to the bare Sammies first.

One brand spanking new i7-3770k from the United States of Americana.

EKWBs prefered weapon of choice. Gelid Extreme. So if it's good enough for them it is good enough for me. It is non conductive so also usefull for the GPUs.

The XSPC Raystorm
Ever since I first layed my eyes on these I wanted one. So stylish and clean. LUV'M

It is a used one. Bought it for 20 euros because there was one screw missing. I bought another pack of Raystorm screws for 8 euros. So I got an alright deal.

As you can see from the following before and after pictures. The previous mounting left a bit of a darker spot on it. Hukky does not approve of that

After me and my friend Mr. Brasso worked our magic it got the official Hukky seal of Approval!

I normally use this to clean a thermometer after being used....where the sun does not shine. But I also use it to whipe any kind of grease from the cpu lid caused by fingerprints.

And after putting a pea worth of Gelid Extreme on it I placed the waterblock. Isn't she a beauty?

I ordered a small package containing the new screw pack for the Raystorm, orange o-rings (as if you can see them after fitting, oh well as long as I know they are there) and three of the Bitspower fittings to be able to fit plexi tubing in them. I made a few shots of them. Pay attention to one of them looking into the fitting with the flash. You can see the two black o-rings in there which will keep the pipes in place and make them NOT leak.

And back in the box. The case is currently somewhere else (together with my stock of parts) because we're remodelling the attic. So I will now transport this to where the case is friday (when my wife isn't working in the evening) and fit it into the case (and maybe take one or two pictures).

But I have faith. Perhaps it could be improved by 1 or 2 degrees with another waterblock, but I also think looks are important. At least for me it is.

I have never used one of these before and I have always been interested in them. I mean they're not very cheap and some people claim them not to work at all. Yet all the pro players have them or even endorse them. I got in contact with one of the marketing employees of Gunnar and explained him about this project. He was very positive and offered me one of their glasses for the project (and added a shirt to give away to a viewer of one of my buildlogs). I can give them a try and see how they work for me. I have to say they already have a big + in the looks department. I think they look very stylish. Since this hardware will be powerfull enough to do some serious gaming I will use the glasses when trying to do some benching and when playing a hardware eating game to see how it performs
And of course with general computerwork. I have a job that requires a lot of screen time and I game as a hobby so their glasses should be very worthwhile for me.
