Hi. My cpu is 9900K and mobo Asus Prime Z390-A. I oc my cpu due to click: Asus 5ghz Oc profile. Then i apply XMP profile. Memory GSKILL 32GB 3000mhz.

But i saw that in UEFI CPU core/cache voltage was on the left : 0.935 and on right ( AUTO ).

So for stability i manually raise voltage to 1.3.My question is ,that this option PROFILE 5GHZ OC not changing voltage or what?

Or XMP just changed it or voltage was bugged and with PROFILE 5GHZ OC was not changed.
I ask because on internet i read that Asus PROFILE 5GHZ OC ,voltage is changing too automatically .

Did you check the voltage under load via HWinfo64 or smth. like that?
I guess it uses the offset voltage instead of fixed voltage to improve cpu efficiency and maybe lifespan at idle state.

But i would NEVER use those predefined oc profiles.
Sometimes they dont work, but most times they apply why more voltage than necessary for the given clock.

All CPUs differ in silicon quality, even if they are named the same.
So, for a given clock they need a certain voltage to run properly.
To counter those differences in silicon quality, the oc profiles use exessive voltage so that each profile will run on CPUs with the worst silicon quality.

Better overclock manually or dont do it at all, but that is just my opinion :D.

I ask because after applying Asus 5G OC PROFILE i applied XMP profile. But under load in REALBENCH i had whea enteries 19.So went to UEFI and i met that option:"CPU core/cache voltage was on the left : 0.950 and on right ( AUTO )."

So i manually enter 1.3V and no wheas. So thats why i ask. That profile enter automatically lower voltage than i entered? Its almost impossible that was 1.4v on auto after applying profile, because when i enter 1.3v wheas not appeared.
