Asus Z170 pro gaming Probleme/RMA und Support-Fachidioten

Hi,
ich habe mich nun endlich entschlossen aufzugeben und mir - falls möglich - helfen zu lassen.
Da der Asus-Support genau so hilfreich ist wie Staub im Lüfter, dachte ich, ich probiere es mal mit kompetenteren Leuten.
Es geht um mein Mainboard. Ich bin mir mittlerweile nicht mehr sicher, ob es kaputt ist oder ob Asus da ******* verzapft hat.


Thema 1: Arbeitsspeicher. (Kingston HyperX Fury 2133 CL14 zur Zeit non OC)

Der bootvorgang sieht so aus -> CPUIDLED (1 Sekunde) -> DRAMLED (8Sekunden) -> 4 Sekunden nichts -> Endlich bekomme ich ein Bild und sehe den Post (ich hoffe es liegt an einer simplen Inkompabilität)
Kingston sagt er wäre kompatible.
Asus sagt (zitat): Steht er auf der Liste? Nein? Dann interessiert es mich nicht und dafür gibt es keinen support (Der erste Moment wo ich jeglichen ASUS Geräten in meinem Haushalt absagen wollte)
Schön und gut, er bootet, nur erkennt er die 2133 nicht.
Tests:
-> Minimalsetup
-> Manuelles Eintragen der Timings
-> XMP Profil
-> JEDEC laufen lassen
-----------------------> Stabilität? Nö. Erst als ich sämtliche Daten eingetragen habe, lief es endlich. Der langsame boot ist aber immer noch da. Was soll ich da nur machen?

Thema 2: Grafikkarte. (MSI Geforce GTX 980TI 6GD5T OC (Armorx2)

Meine Grafikkarte läuft in Windows und wird auch da erkannt. Auch kann ich im Bios damit etwas auf dem Bildschirm sehen. Nur habe ich keinen Zugriff. Jemand eine Idee?
MSI sagt: ME FW updaten (DONE) Bios updaten (DONE) und nochmals mit Asus in Verbindung setzen.
ASUS sagt: Steht die Karte auf der Kompatibilitätsliste? Ich: Nein aber Sie haben die gleich Karte mit dem selben Chipsatz selbst im Angebot
ASUS: Tut nichts zur Sache... Steht die Karte nicht drauf, gibt es dafür keinen Support. (Ernsthaft ASUS?)

Jemand noch eine Idee, was ich da Verändern könnte, damit ich das wieder zum laufen bekomme?
Getestet:
-> Anderer PCIE Steckplatz
-> Vbios mit Stockrom geflashed (Sogar mit der ROM der allseitsbekannten MSI 980ti gaming 6g)
Vielleicht fällt ja noch was ein.

Meine Grafikkarte läuft in Windows und wird auch da erkannt. Auch kann ich im Bios damit etwas auf dem Bildschirm sehen. Nur habe ich keinen Zugriff.

Bei manchen Gaming-Keyboards kann das schon mal passieren. Damit ein N-KRO gemacht werden kann, meldet sich das Keyboard mehrmals an um auch alle Tastendrücke abzusetzen. Würde mich also momentan nicht kratzen...
 
Verstehe ehrlich gesagt nicht so recht wo das Problem ist. Falls dir das Board nicht zusagt dann hol dir doch ein anderes.
 
in letzter zeit häufen sich threads,wo user mit asus platinen,starke probleme mit ramspeicher haben.
deine genannten symptome scheinen den gleiche grund zu haben.
glaube der andere thread war auch die kombi: asus-kingston.
auch scheinen asus platinen probleme mit dem angegebenen ramtakt zu haben,xmp,oder hohe taktraten des rams,führten zu bluescreens.

also du bist nicht der einzige.
entweder zum testen,ram kaufen,der kompatibel laut liste ist,
oder wenns noch geht,mobo zurückschicken und anderen hersteller nehmen.
meine letzten 5 mobos waren alle von asus,aber mein nächstes wird garantiert keines von denen.
mir gefällt asrock immer mehr und gigabyte.

btw:versuch mal die ram,auf den niedrigsten einstellungen laufen zu lassen.aber nur mit einem riegel.slot a und b seperat testen.
 
Kann dir Story hier nur bestätigen. Ein Kumpel hatte auch Probleme mit seinem Pro Gaming und dem RAM. Asus hat ihm die gleichen hilfreichen Antworten gegeben wie dir ^^ Ende vom Lied war aber, dass zwei der vier Speicherbänke von Anfang an defekt waren...

Normalerweise sollten an der Stelle, Takt, Ramtakt, RAM Größe etc angezeigt werden. Windows erkennt die Karte zwar aber irgendwie nur mit 4Gb vram sowie CPU-Z leitet mich bei "Show" zur ganz normalen 980 ti. Mag aber auch an der Seltenheit der Karte liegen.

Konnte ich rekonstruieren. Ohne jegliche USB Geräte angeschlossen verbleibt trotz alle dem 1 undefinierbarer XHCI Controller.

Ich hatte gehofft, das ich drum herum komme aber es deutet immer mehr drauf hin, dass ich es wohl auch zurück schicken muss.

Die Boot Gedenksekunden des ASUS Boards hab ich auch... Stören mich aber nicht weiter. Aber alle anderen Probleme, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Entweder ist mein Board die Goldene Ausnahme oder die Komponenten passen einfach gut zusammen. Scheinbar hat ASUS derzeit eine breite Serienstreuung, bei der Häufigkeit der hier im Forum aufkommenden Probleme.
 
Ich habe neulich einem Kollegen auch nen neuen Skylake Rechner mit Z170 Pro Gaming und 3200er Gskill zusammengebaut.

Wenn man das XMP Profil einstellt, startet der Rechner garnicht erst.
Nur Bios Beep Codes, der Speicher wäre Fehlerhaft.
Dann haben wir die Ram Timings Manuell eingestellt.
Der Rechner startete dann, jedoch dauernd Bluescreens.
Mag sein, dass man es irgendwie hinbekommen kann, habe aber weder die Lust noch die Zeit
mich da stundenlang mit zu beschäftigen.

Nun haben wir es aufgegeben und lassen ihn mit 2133Mhz laufen, dann ist er wenigsten stabil.
Nur Ärger mit Asus, das nächste mal wirds wieder ein Gigabyte Board.


Irgendwie habe ich immer das Pech, dass solche Sachen immer erst rauskommen, wenn ich schon bestellt habe.
Letztes Jahr noch das LC 9550 bestellt, auf diverse Empfehlungen hier.
Zwei Wochen später war es dann Mist, weil die Schutzschalten wohl mies sind laut Tests.

Mit dem Pro Gaming das gleiche, erst von jedem empfohlen, jetzt hat fast jeder Probleme damit.
Irgendwas mache ich falsch.
 
Als ich beim Kingston Support angerufen habe, war der Herr am Ende ganz erstaunt und entsetzt, das es nicht so funktioniert, weil es ja nun bei denen auf der Liste steht, das es kompatibel ist. Habe direkt eine Mail bekommen, die ich an den Second-Level von Kingston weiterreichen soll. Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob ich das machen soll, weil ich ja nicht mal weiß, ob der RAM das Problem ist, oder das Board.

Ist lustig, die "Bootgedankensekunden" hatte ich beim Rechner vom Kumpel letztens auch nicht. Win8.1 war in wenigen Sekunden da... ob das was mit der Graka zu tun haben kann? Ich hatte eine 380X Nitro verbaut... oder vielleicht die Revision des Boards? Da müsste ich allerdings noch mal beim Kollegen zu Hause vorbeidüsen. Hmmm :huh:
 
Ich habe das Asus Z170-A und 2x8GB Kingston Hyper X Fury mit 2666 mhz.
Das XMP Profil habe ich im Bios aktiviert und es kam seitdem ich den Rechner habe (November 15) zu noch absolut keinen Problemen.
Bezüglich der Graka die zeigt er dir glaub auch nur richtig an wenn die auch von Asus ist.(kann auch sein das ich mich hier täusche)
 
Boot und RAM Problem gelöst!

Ich habe mir die Kingstons mal genauer angeschaut. Es sind von 2133 bis 2666 exakt die gleichen Speicher, bis auf die Jedec und xmp Profile.
Ich bin also ins BIOS gegangen, habe die Timings der 2666 Version eingetragen und MRC fastboot enabled und fullcheck disabled. Ram war daraufhin stabil!
Am Boot hat sich aber nichts geändert.
Dann habe ich mich gefragt, wieso die Gehäuse Lüfter so durchdrehen wenn ich boote. Ich habe daraufhin alle bis auf den CPU Lüfter abgesteckt und siehe da ->
1 Sekunde CPUIDLED
kurzes aufblinken der RAM led
direkt Bild.
Lüfter wieder dran gemacht -> Millisekunden laufen sie auf max und regulieren plötzlich runter.
bei mir sind die Gedenksekunden Geschichte.
unglaublich aber wahr.

Es gibt Lüfter, die erst bei 7 Volt oder mehr überhaupt mal anfangen zu drehen. Danach lassen sich aber die meisten auch bis unter 7 Volt regeln, einige seltene Exemplare sogar bis auf 2 bis 3 Volt runter. Die Lüfter drehen deshalb kurz auf Maximum sprich volle 12V, um bei Lüftern, die eine hohe Anlaufspannung haben, überhaupt einen Start des Lüfters zu garantieren.
 
Klingt logisch. Komisch nur, das es jetzt funktioniert. Erst nach der Neuinstallation der Lüfter war das Problem behoben.
Wieso? Keine Ahnung . Bin nur froh, dass es jetzt anscheinend doch alles läuft.
